If Protego is used/not available, the Harry (inlane, soft plunge) skill shot can relight it.
When Diagon alley is lit, you can change what you collect with the action button or by hitting the Hagrid target. When you hit the shot, you have a grace period to use the action button to change.
The four directional inserts in front of the center ramp and stairs indicate where the ball will return when you hit that shot.
