Since going live with the new version, I’ve been busy making more changes.
Most of them aren’t obvious because there’s been a lot of bug fixing and tweaking all kinds of little layout issues, things like that…
But there have been more obvious additions, some that you may have already noticed:
- User profile pages now have a graph that shows your contribution activity. It’s colour-coded, but you’ll only see these colours on updates that took place after the new version of the site went live because of how they were stored previously.
- Most individual pinball pages now contain gameplay tips. “Pintips” are stored locally, but there are links to external guides too.
- Pinball pages now feature a button to find the closest location to you with that pinball.
- Some pinballs now have a credits listing with people who worked on that game. Clicking their names will take you to a page listing all the games they worked on and, in some cases, a short biography.
- When adding a new venue, you can autofill the address form with your current location if you’re in the venue itself while adding it.
- Opening hours have been improved and now also work for venues open 24 hours.
- When importing large numbers of pinballs into a venue (like a museum or arcade), there’s now an option to do it via a CSV file rather than entering each one manually.
- And a whole bunch of other small tweaks…
There’s more to come. And, talking of that, if you’re an operator, let me know and I’ll add that flag to your account. It doesn’t do anything yet, but there are plans for future use.
As always, thanks for contributing to the site. I appreciate it and all the other visitors do too!
